Basil Hayden X Eurostampa Bourbon & Beats Bottle

The Collaborators
Eurostampa is an international, premium label manufacturer within the industries of wine/spirits, food, and cosmetics. With guidance from the North American headquarters office and a student-brief created by Lucia Hendel of Università di Scienze Gastronomiche di Pollenzo, I was introduced to the label design needs of client Basil Hayden.

The Goal
This research collaboration between Eurostampa and Basil Hayden explores how modern packaging solutions can be applied to the brand’s premium whiskey bottles. Leveraging the technical capabilities of NFC tags, this project is a pitch aiming to show Basil Hayden how label design and production at Eurostampa can point users to a digital experience, bringing Basil Hayden into a more socially connected space.

Concept 1

A series of regionally inspired bottles with artwork reflecting each whiskey’s unique origin. This side-label of this series can take users to a website where they learn about the bottles origins and the locale that produced it.

The Mexican Tequila Cask Finished whiskey bottle uses copper foil florals inspired by Mexican folk art styles.

The Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey bottle uses graphic patterns seen on traditional Kentucky woven fabrics.

The French Cognac Finished whiskey bottle uses ornate flourishes stemming from baroque French architecture. 



Concept 2

A series of bottles motivated by bringing people together in the outdoors. Using Eurostampa’s wooden texture printing capabilities, this bottle suggests a more natural, approachable feeling with a connected NFC digital experience that brings people closer together. Ideas for the digital experience included a campfire conversation starting game, a playlist with music fitting the moment, or a recipe for campfire treats that pair well with this whiskey.



Concept 3

This music-inspire bottle uses the NFC tag technology to connect users to a custom Basil Hayden happy hour playlist that sets the mood for a delightful moment with friends.



Concept 4

The After Party series leverages darker coloring and contrasting metallic stars, enticing drinkers to elevate any occasion with Basil Hayden. With the focus on evening/night-time occansions, the NFC tag on this bottle can take users to a digial star-gazing experience comparable to apps that show users what stars they aare currently positioned under.

The Limited Edition Bourbon & Beats Bottle

In keeping with the initial brief’s request of developing a social whiskey that brings younger consumers into a refined yet playful mindset, BH selected the music-focused concept to test with Eurostampa’s NFC tag printing capabilities. This concept allows the brand to easily build out a coordinating digital experience that feels modern while still within the Basil Hayden brand standards.
