Who?
As the leading craft brewery in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rhinegeist is a hallmark of the city's young and beer-thirsty spirit. With markets in 7 different states and an ever-expanding lineup of sub-brands, the brewery leverages the power of strong design to not only sell beer, but to sell a story of quality, delight, and sheer fun.

What?
I got to know the inner workings of Rhinegeist and the beer world as a whole during my co-op as a designer on the marketing team. Leveraging my passion for tactile design, I was able to work on projects such as packaging, print marketing assets, environmental graphics and so much more.

branding work
(not all work included)

Created print and digital assets for the various beer names under the Rhinegeist Brewery brand. Work included flavor-informed color palettes, illustration, poster design, social media graphics, and more.

+
large scale environmental graphics

Marketing banners with custom artwork created by request for the sales team. These assets can be found in bars, restaurants, grocery stores and various convenience stores across the midwest! (mockups show scale of actual assets designed)

These are two room designs made for a local bar contructed of shipping containers. Both room designs are still in use today and swapped out seasonally- the Cincy Light room for various sports seasons, and the rainbow room for more seasonally agnostic occasions.

+
event branding

Created the Branding for multiple internal and external Rhinegeist events such as beer festivals and taproom occasions.

can design concepts

Assisted the design team in developing new can concepts for upcoming additions to the Rhinegeist Brewery Lineup.
Concept 1: A camping themed beer with a design that can live in both Summer and early Fall markets. Consider colors that suggest punchy tasting notes with a hoppy funk.
Concept 2: A medeival era themed beer with a design that nods to the shape language of chain mail armor and other themes of the time. Use colors that reflect the beer’s stonefruit-y flavor profile.

merchandise

Created artwork for the merchandise store including the following logo and can stickers as well as apparel production artwork.

fun stuff

As if all this work didn’t seem fun enough, I’d be doing my time at Rhinegeist a disservice if I didn’t include some moments from my most fun days. Photoshoot? I’m always down to be in pics. Making video content? I’m not one to be camera shy! Riding a makeshift bus into the Ohio river? Sign me up. (yes that’s me on top of that thing)
